Found September 18, 2013 on The Nosebleeds:
St. Louis Blues goaltending prospect Jordan Binnington, who currently plays for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, is the proud owner of a new goalie mask that features Will Smith’s character from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.  In other words, he’s the proud owner of the BEST. GOALIE. MASK. EVER. Jason Livery of Head Strong Grafx is the man behind the mask, which looks pretty amazing. Here’s Binnington’s explanation for the choice, not that we needed one: “Outside of the TV show, from what I see he is a self-driven individual who knows what he wants in life,” Binnington wrote In Goal Mag when asked to expand on his mask choice. “I couldn’t name one movie I haven’t enjoyed with him in it. Every movie or show has a purpose. The tv show is so creative, I’m laughing out loud every episode. So to sum it all up I just feel we’d be best friends.” Cue the music! Jordan Binnington's mask features the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

St. Louis Blues prospect Jordan Binnington might have the best goalie mask in all of hockey. Binnington's mask features Will Smith as he appeared in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Good luck topping that, goaltenders of the AHL and NHL.  Why the ode to the Fresh Prince? Why not? Binnington told InGoal Magazine that Fresh Prince is one of his favorite shows and he finds Will...

Jordan Binnington’s Fresh Prince Of Bel Air Goalie Mask Is Seriously Awesome

NHL goaltenders have been stepping up their game when it comes to the designs of their masks. Recently we saw Steve Mason’s creepy Ben Franklin zombie mask, which to be fair, is pretty neat, but doesn’t quite compare to the new mask of St. Louis Blues prospect, Jordan Binnington. The 20-year old netminder is currently playing for the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, and debuted his 2013...

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Inspires St. Louis Prospect’s Mask, Goalie Cites ‘Creative’ Qualities as Reason Behind Artwork

In West Philadelphia, born and raised, on an ice rink is where I spent most of my – Wait, what? If you’ve been awake late at night aimlessly flipping through TV stations at any point over the past 15 years, you’ve probably stumbled upon Will Smith‘s ’90′s comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. If you’re even the slightest bit savvy to pop culture, you probably know the...

Caption the Photo: NHL Prospect has Fresh Prince on his Goalie Mask

Binnington says the way Smith goes about life inspires him and feels they would be best friends: “Outside...

Vegas continues to favor the St. Louis Blues

The folks out in Vegas really like the St. Louis Blues. This is a topic I previously discussed in June when it was revealed that the Blues held 12/1 odds to hoist the Cup. At that time only three NHL teams had better odds to lift the league's ultimate prize.  Since June we've seen the landscape change slightly for the Blues. The most notable change is the fact Alex Pietrangelo has...

2013-14 NHL Season Preview: St. Louis Blues

This 2013-14 NHL season preview features the St. Louis Blues. Ever since Ken Hitchcock took over as head coach, the Blues have compiled a ridiculous 72-32-13 record. That’s a .671 winning percentage, which equates to 55 wins in the regular season. Quite impressive. The reasons they haven’t been able to parlay that into Stanley Cup contention can pretty much be summed up by the...
