While a lack of production has the Vancouver Canucks mired in their roughest stretch of the season, an offensive outburst helped the Dallas Stars continue their road surge.
The Canucks look to avoid a fourth straight loss while trying to keep the Stars from a sixth consecutive road victory Sunday.
Vancouver (11-7-3) posted a pair of four-goal games in winning two of three to open November. However, the Canucks have since been outscored 10-3, managing one goal in each game during an 0-2-1 slide.
Two of those goals have come from defensemen, and star Daniel Sedin is in danger of going five straight games without a point for the first time since March 2012.
The Canucks have recorded at least 35 shots in each of the last two, and led 1-0 at home Thursday before San Jose tied the game with 65 seconds left in regulation and won 2-1 on Dan Boyle's power-play goal in overtime.
