Tomas Vincour notched the tying goal with 75 seconds left in regulation and scored the only goal in the shootout to lift the surging Dallas Stars to a 4-3 shootout victory over the visiting San Jose Stars. Dallas earned its fourth consecutive win and halted a five-game losing streak against San Jose. Vincour flicked a backhander past Antti Niemi in the fifth round of the shootout before Stars netminder Kari Lehtonen stopped Logan Couture as Dallas sent the Sharks to their fourth consecutive loss. Michael Ryder and Jamie Benn also scored and Lehtonen made 45 saves for Dallas, which improved to 8-0-1 in its last nine games and beat the Sharks for the first time in four meetings this season. Lehtonen, facing San Jose for the first time this season, also stopped all five shots in the shootout to move to 6-0-1 in his last seven.
