On Tuesday night in Tampa, a few Boston Bruins came out to watch their team face the hometown Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning mascot, Thunderbug, found a fan wearing a Bruins Stanley Cup T-shirt and playfully sprayed him with silly string. Pretty harmless stuff.

Unfortunately, this particular Bruins fan took exception to it and pushed Thunderbug down from behind.

Mired in somewhat of a mini-slump, the Boston Bruins needed only one good period to beat the New Jersey Devils and get back on track.

What happened to the Lightning?

Only eight months removed from their Eastern Conference final appearance, the Tampa Bay Lightning have fell way short of the expectations that people had for them this year. They are currently in a three-way tie for last place in the Eastern Conference with the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders with only 40 points and have the second worst goal differential in the league...
