It seems as though the National Hockey League lockout is depriving the players of more than just hockey nowadays.Toronto Maple Leafs star Joffrey Lupul recently had the idea to visit Real Sports, a restaurant located next door to the Air Canada Center, in hopes of grabbing a bite to eat. Unfortunately, the unemployed 29-year old was denied a reservation because of complications involving the lockout."Real Sports is not allowed to take reservations from Leafs players during the lockout," a bemused Lupul tweeted Sunday, "but will continue selling our jerseys for $300 a pop."Lupul's membership in the NHLPA means that the lockout extends to the eatery beside his home arena. Why? Well, because Real Sports is an establishment created and owned by the Maple Leafs itself.Teammate James Van Riemsdyk also confirmed the validity of Lupul's claim by tweeting in response that the same thing happened to him. "Same thing happened to me a month ago," he said. Both players have since deleted those tweets. However, Lupul did also tweet out the following after the incident: "In hindsight twitter was probably not the right place to voice my displeasure w @realsports. That's not why I use twitter. Was just rattled."Will this madness known as the NHL lockout ever end?Via Yahoo! Sports.
