*THE FOLLOWING BELOW IS NOT WRITTEN BY THE ROYAL HALF, BUT RATHER PUMPERNICHOLL, OUR MASTER RECAPPER*   KINGS 4, BLUES 3 There's never a true consensus of how a fan base feels. No matter what day of the year, a small percentage will be content while the majority believes the sky is falling and all hope is lost. I, for reasons unbeknownst to me, have been confident in this Kings team all year long. Losses didn't hurt, wins just meant one step closer to the the ultimate prize, and somehow that irrational belief has continued into the playoffs.   Enter Game 4 between the Los Angeles Kings and the St. Louis Blues.   Ah, Game 4s. The one Achilles heel the Lombardi Era Kings have. No, really. It's true.   Since this version of the Kings first made the playoffs in 2009-10, they have won only one Game 4 (last year against the Blues) in six chances. All while being outscored 21-12 in the process.   However these losses came against the Canucks (twice), Sharks, Coyotes and Devils, NOT against the Blues. Sure, the Blues jumped ahead in this series, but both wins came in flukey fashion. Though they completely deserved to win both games, I still wasn't scared of this team.   And based on how the Kings responded in Game 3, I don't think they are either.   Would the Game 4 curse continue to haunt the Kings? Or did they gain immunity versus Blues in this particular scenario? Let's see how it all unfolded in the fans' eyes during another raucous night in Los Angeles.   PREGAME:   OH, IT'S ON TONIGHT!   I guess it's really on?   OK IT'S ON!!! (editor's note: click the video again to stop the insufferable loop) (editor's second note: this explanation is going to look dumb on the Internet in six months)   Dad must be proud?   Click Here to Read the Rest of PumperNicholl's RECAP of Game 4 vs the Blues!!!   1st PERIOD:   "There loosing" ...for now.   I never realized how Justin Williams really felt.   If you're going to go through all the trouble of entering that first apostrophe... Jonathan Quick does always looks bit sleepy.   ...well that made it 2-0 real quick. Either the Game 4 Curse or some sort of sombrero hex.   But more likely, it was the rousing success of the Blues new goal song:   !!!!!!!! Words, I cannot find them.   Spoiler alert: Probably won't be the Blues either.   Kings fans have unwavering belief in their team.   So that was exactly how the Kings didn't want to start. I was trying to wrap my head around what the problem could have been. As I glanced at the clock, it hit me! The early start times were throwing off the team. Thank goodness it was 7:30.   Jeff Carter is the real Vagina Raptor.   It's like Alanna spoke for every Kings fan.   Amazing impersonation of TJ Oshie in a week.   This seems like the perfect time to end the period.     2nd PERIOD: Chris really hates the LA Kings. ...and has nicknames for people he's never met.   Even Barret Jackman can't believe that.   Agreed.     3rd PERIOD:   Oh man. The Kings head into the third period trailing 3-2 and would be put on the brink of elimination if they couldn't rally back from the deficit. Even Darryl Sutter was feeling the pressure.   The original Grumpy Cat.   The Kings responded by throwing everything they had at the Blues. But without their best players stepping up, the effort would be for nothing. Around this time, Anze Kopitar realized there was a playoff series going on.   Kings fans approved. Blues fans did not.   Best. Foreplay. Ever.   Williams gave the Kings the lead for good as they held on to win 4-3 and evened the series 2-2. While Kings fans rejoiced in inebriated delight, St. Louis fans expressed themselves through the local custom of writing blues lyrics. The lyrical poetry just dances off the page.     TRH THREE STARS OF THE NIGHT     3. Kevin Pollock   Call of the night.   2. Dustin Penner-Jarret Stoll-Alec Martinez   Syrupy smoove.   1.
