Second chances are a wonderful thing, aren’t they? One player who I would like to see in Vancouver providing Prust doesn’t sign with the Canucks is a good, solid character guy. He has a fine head of hair, he’s handsome and he has an awful first name. Tanner Glass.

Name: Tanner Glass

Age: 28

Size: 6’1″, 210 Lbs

Why the Canucks might want him: Tanner Glass is a player that the Canucks are very familiar with. He was well liked in the room and he was a classic character guy. Stood up for his team mates, could kill the occasional penalty and didn’t mind blocking shots. If Vancouver comes knocking, Glass likely answers and signs on the dotted line.

Why the Canucks might not want him: If Tanner Glass doesn’t sign with Vancouver I would think it would be because they found another option in someone like Prust. However, should Prust be too expensive then a guy like Glass would likely come in at a reduced rate.

What I would do: Because it’s a second chance I wouldn’t say my offer would be a low ball offer, however it wouldn’t knock Glass’ socks off. I would offer him one year at $900,000. He gets a small raise and returns to a city in which he played some great hockey and was a part of a Stanley Cup run.

X-Factor: Probably one of the better looking free agents. He has a beautiful head of hair and some how makes the mullet not look so ******.

Thanks for reading. Enjoy July 1st! Happy Canada Day!
