Could this be the start of some things?

UPDATE: Answer is yes. The Penguins just announced that they have signed Vokoun to a two year deal. [ Pens ]

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired the rights to veteran goaltender Tomas Vokoun from the Washington Capitals in exchange for their seventh-round selection in the upcoming 2012 NHL Draft.Vokoun had to waive a no-movement clause in order for the trade to happen. He becomes an unrestricted free agent July 1.

Obviously the Penguins will have to sign Vokoun but assuming he waived his no-movement clause, he has some interest. This move is on the heels of Marc-Andre Fleury having to play 67 games last season, and Brent Johnson being awful.   Vokoun was supposed to be the starter in Washington last season, but things didn't go as planned. He would give the Penguins a huge lift in the back up goaltending department.   He has a career .917 save percentage, and a 2.55 GAA.   Good move if the Pens can get him to sign. And you can only wonder if this is the beginning of major changes.
