The biggest difference between American and Canadian hockey fans is the respectful manner in which Canadian fans conduct themselves while attending a live event; refusing to traffic in the vulgarity and brutality of their neighbours to the South, always treating the game with OMG FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT AT BELL CENTRE! From our buddy JT Utah of 25Stanley.com, embedded at Bell Centre for the Montreal Canadiens' 1-0 loss to the Boston Bruins in Monday night: Huge brawl at the Bell Centre between during the Habs vs. Bruins game. Well, nothing if you compare it to what happens in Philly. Anyway, it happened in the red section (lower level) with about a minute left to play. The refs and Tim Thomas took a look at the fight. Yes, it was a Habs vs. Bruins fan thing. Security had a hard time breaking the fight. Six guards were needed to take out the guy with no shirt. That said, it was pretty handy work by the Bell Centre security detail to quell that thing before it got out of hand. Although...

Thomas picking up where he left off

It is easy to say that for Tim Thomas, last season was an absolute dream one for the 37-year-old Boston Bruins netminder. As we cross over to the second quarter of the season, Thomas has shown no signs of any Stanley Cup hangover or letting up.How is this for a year: was a member of the NHL All-Star team back in January, won the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender,...

Tim Thomas Continues Domination on Road With Another Shutout in Montreal

On Saturday, Tim Thomas enjoyed what may have been the easiest of the first 28 shutouts he's posted in his NHL career when he needed to make just 23 saves in the Bruins' 6-0 rout of the New York Islanders. On Monday, there was nothing easy about shutout No. 29. Thomas was besieged all night by the Canadiens, but managed to turn aside every shot he faced. He needed every one...

Tim Thomas Turns In Outstanding Effort Against Montreal to Help Bruins Extend Winning Streak

The Bruins, like many teams on a winning streak, have found different ways to win hockey games in the last few weeks. On Monday night, they turned to their decorated goalie to move that win streak to nine. Tim Thomas turned aside all 33 Canadiens shots on Monday night, including a late barrage aided by what was a 6-on-4 advantage for the Habs to help the B's win streak stay alive...

Tim Thomas to Stay in Net As Bruins Clash With Sabres With Division Lead on Line in Buffalo

If the Bruins fear any attempt by the Sabres respond in kind to Milan Lucic's hit on Ryan Miller, they aren't showing it with how Claude Julien plans to fill out his lineup sheet for the rematch Wednesday night in Buffalo. Julien will stick with the hot hand and start Tim Thomas in goal when the Bruins and Sabres clash with first place on the line. There was speculation that...

"They won the fights and they won the game!" BRUINS WIN.

If this was a Buffalo blog we would complain about all the cheap shots. If this was a Buffalo blog we'd complain about everyone running Tim Thomas. If this was a Buffalo blog we'd be busy making excuses yet again because our team sucks more than a two dollar hooker on half off Tuesday and is softer than a 90 year old man's penis.Awesome pic courtesty of Eric (@BosBruinsFan...

Bruins Complete Long Climb Back to Top of Division, But Will Have to Cut Down Sabres to Stay in First

The last time the Bruins left Montreal, they had just been swept in a home-and-home series by the hated Habs and headed into Halloween dead last in the Eastern Conference. On Monday, they departed the Bell Centre just a little bit happier. Just three days before Thanksgiving, the Bruins were plenty thankful for Tim Thomas' strong work in net, which carried Boston to a 1-0 victory...
