On September 17th, Philadelphia Flyers forward Jake Voracek confirmed that he had signed a temporary contract to play for HC Lev Praha of the KHL.

On Thursday, Voracek participated in his first game with his KHL club as they took on Avangard Omsk. He tallied one assist in his debut that ended in a 3-1 win for Lev Praha.

Today, HC Lev faced-off against HC Barys. In his second KHL game, Jakub Voracek found twine for the first time. His goal came in the second period on the powerplay, as he one-timed a beautiful pass from Juraj Mikus in the slot.

According to the post-game article from the team's official website, Voracek got into a scrum after the whistle in which his helmet was knocked off. It revealed a "lion-like mane of a haircut" for the Lev forward. As he skated to the bench without a helmet or stick, he received an ovation from the 4,713 fans in attendance.

Voracek fired three shots on net in today's game. He played a total of 20 shifts and spent 16:56 on the ice.

Despite Voracek's goal, HC Lev Praha fell to HC Barys by a final score of 4-2. The loss snapped the team's five game winning streak.

You can catch Jakub Voracek and HC Lev Praha in action once again on Monday as they take on Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk.
