2012 NHL Free Agency Defenseman Jason Garrison reportedly will sign a six-year deal with the Vancouver Canucks. The new contract is worth $4.6 million per year, TSN.com reported Sunday. Garrison, 27, had a career year in 2011-12 with 16 goals and 17 assists in 77 games with the Florida Panthers. This is win-win for the Canucks as far as I’m concerned. The 6’2”, 220-pound undrafted defenceman was signed by the Panthers in 2008 after three seasons with the University of Minnesota Duluth of the WCHA. Garrison left $ on table – was offered “Wideman money” elsewhere – but wanted to play for hometown VAN, which held firm on internal $ scale. — Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) July 2, 2012 Mike G...
