SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- One day after being called up from Houston of the American Hockey League, Minnesota Wild forward Casey Wellman has been reassigned to the Aeros.
Wellman was recalled Tuesday and did not appear in that night's 4-2 win over Columbus.
Wellman, 24, leads the Aeros and is tied for second in the AHL with 10 goals, seven of which came on the power play. He also ranks second on the Aeros with 15 points. The 6-foot, 186-pound native of Brentwood, Calif., has skated 27 career games with the Wild, with two goals and four assists. Wellman was signed as a free agent March 16, 2010.
