Do you remember the Philadelphia Flyers...? You know, that team that went undefeated in their first three games before dropping two significant players and two unsettling decisions to go 3-1-1...? Lost in the success of the Phillies playoff run and the lowly drumming of NFL castaways by the Eagles, the Flyers return tonight to face the Florida Panthers for their first game since Oct. 10th. During this unheard of hiatus, the team has bonded with those cheesy team building activities, challenged the coaching staff to fishing and boating competitions, taken in an Eagles game, and most importantly... got healthy. For the most part. Wonder-boy James VanRiemsdyk returns from "not a concussion" but will find himself Giroux-less on a line with Pyorala and Asham. Betts, a victim of some faceoff interference against the Caps in which he suffered a separated shoulder, is progressing and ahead of schedule... but will sit for a few more games. Look for Simon Gagne to get off the goal-less schneid against the "Panthros" (just a feelin').
