Pro Sports Daily:
Minnesota Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher insisted that the team has not asked defenseman Marek Zidlicky to waive his no-trade clause.
"I haven't asked Zid to waive his no-trade for any specific trade," Fletcher told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "I haven't called him and said anything's close. I can tell you for sure I'm planning on talking to other teams.
"We haven't traded Zid, we haven't made the decision to trade Zid at this point. I have not formally asked him to do anything because at this point I honestly don't have anything to take to him, I don't have anything for him to say yes or no to."
Zidlicky was reported to have waived his no-trade clause for a potential deal with the New Jersey Devils, both by the newspaper and TSN.
The 35-year-old Zidlicky has 13 assists and is a minus-7 this season.

Darren Dreger of TSN started a buzz this morning when he tweeted out that Marek Zidlicky has agreed to waive his no-trade clause to come to New Jersey. Dreger noted that no deal was done as there was still some work to do; however, the sense many got from his tweet was that a deal was imminent. Ever since then, this story has been an absolute mess to follow and cover.
