The Minnesota Wild have re-signed center Kyle Brodziak to a three-year deal.
Terms were not disclosed.
Brodziak, in his third year with Minnesota after being acquired from Edmonton in 2009, was due to become an unrestricted free agent.
He's in the final year of a three-year contract that will pay him $1.3 million this season, and he entered Sunday's game against Boston third on the team in scoring with 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists).
''Obviously I'm really happy and just happy it's done with and now I can concentrate more on playing hockey,'' Brodziak said after the Wild beat Boston 2-0.
The Oilers drafted Brodziak in 2003. He scored 26 goals in 175 games with Edmonton.
''I've never had to deal with anything like this before, so it was definitely on my mind. I'm happy to be part of the organization for a few more years and looking forward to it.''

Warren Peters Suspended One Game For Cross Check On David Backes; Shanny's Explanation Is Weak
I fully understand the fact that Warren Peters was frustrated towards the end of Saturday night's Minnesota Wild/St. Louis Blues game. The Wild were getting walloped 4-0, they only managed thirteen shots on net, and they just weren't playing very good hockey. It happens. And yes, the Blues're a pretty hard hitting team, and sure, if you're on the ice buzzing around...
Warren Peters suspended by the NHL
I don't have a problem with the suspension, it probably could have been a 2-4 game suspension in my opinion. This is the kind of hit that the NHL needs to do away with.
But I digress, I am still upset that serious infractions from the opposition players against the Minnesota Wild have gone unpunished, first hit that comes to mind is the Zach Bogosian hit on Pierre-Marc Bouchard...
