ST. PAUL The Minnesota Wild on Saturday recalled goaltender Matt Hackett and defenseman Nate Prosser from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. The team also reassigned forward David McIntyre to Houston and placed defenseman Justin Falk (back) on injured reserve.
Hackett, 21, is 9-3-3 with a 2.11 goals against average, a .927 save percentage and one shutout in 16 games with the Aeros this season. He ranks fifth in the AHL in GAA and seventh in save percentage. The 6-foot-2, 179-pound native of London, Ont., was Minnesotas third-round pick (No. 77 overall) in the 2009 NHL draft and has not appeared in a NHL game.
Prosser, 25, has four assists in 14 games with Minnesota this season while averaging 19:40 in time on ice per contest. In nine games with Houston, he has two assists and a plus-8 rating. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Elk River, Minn., native has five assists in 19 career NHL games with the Wild.
McIntyre, 24, appeared in two games with Minnesota and registered one shot on goal and averaged 10:13 per game. The 6-foot, 194-pound native of Oakville, Ont., made his NHL debut versus the Tampa Bay Lightning on Nov. 28.
Falk, 23, last played on Nov. 27 and has played in 16 games this season for the Wild, registering two assists.
