SAINT PAUL, Minn. The Minnesota Wild on Tuesday recalled center Casey Wellman from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.
Wellman, 24, leads the Aeros and is tied for second in the AHL with 10 goals, including seven on the power play. He also ranks second on the Aeros with 15 points. The six-foot, 186-pound native of Brentwood, Calif., has skated in 27 career games with the Wild, scoring two goals with three assists. Wellman was signed as a free agent March 16, 2010. He wears No. 17 with the Wild.
