SATURDAY'S STORYLINE: The Wild held an optional skateSaturday before taking on the LA Kings tonight. Los Angeles is battling with Dallas for the lead in thePacific Division. With a 4-1 win last night in Edmonton, the Kings jumped ahead of the Stars for the lead in the Pacific and also into the third spot in the Western Conference standings. In the final five games of the season the Wild will be battling against Los Angeles, Chicago twice, Nashville and Phoenix -- all teams battling for playoff positioning. Coach Mike Yeo knows his team will be facing desperate teams with a lot to lose in the final games of the season. "This is the time of year. That's what is disappointing for us --that we don't have a chance to be in the same shoes and feeling those things," the coach noted. "At the same time we are here to win hockey games and if we can overcome those challenges then good for us." The Kings arrived around 3:30a.m. from Edmonton, but Yeo doesn't expect the visitors to let down tonight. "I think if you play the game the right way and you play the kind of game that grinds them down a little bit physically," noted Yeo,"certainly that can play into our favor. But I don't expect fatigue to be a factor early in this game; these are big points for them and they are going to come in here and I am expecting a very strong effort from them." Defenseman Marco Scandella will be out of the lineup tonight with an upper-body injury. Yeo said the defenseman is day-to-day, but will travel with the team to Chicago and Nashville. Kurtis Foster will be back in the lineup. Niklas Backstrom will get the start. HE SAID IT: "We have made some changes systematically as to what we are doing out there. As far as the way we are getting set up and I think it is helping us distribute the puck a little bit more. It is giving us some threats from both sides of the ice. I think there is just a little bit more focus on moving the puck quickly. The guy who is getting the puck has options every time he gets it and because of that we aren't hanging onto it to long." -- Yeo on the Wild power play
