from Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News, Defenseman Sheldon Souray had an interesting way of characterizing the profession of sports journalism as the NHL nears Monday’s trade deadline. “Anybody with knives on their fingers can type on their keyboard and come up with a trade rumor,” he said . “But it’s a fact of our business, and that’s the way it goes.” The Stars are going to deal with trade rumors, especially when a big trade sent Jeff Carter from Columbus to Pacific Division rival Los Angeles on Thursday. But, they do have the ability to send a message to GM Joe Nieuwendyk by playing hard and winning games. “If we win, we can be right up there.
