Harvard Strikes First On Incredible Tip-In Goal In Beanpot Semifinal

A team finally scored in the first Beanpot semifinal game Monday, and it was quite the goal. The No. 5 Harvard Crimson struck first against the Northeastern Huskies at TD Garden thanks to an Alexander Kerfoot tip-in goal at the 6:10 mark in the second period. No. 2/3 Men’s Hockey Edged by No. 11/11 Union, 2-1

Alexander Kerfoot scored on the power play with 10.6 seconds remaining, but it was not enough for the No. 2/3 Harvard men’s hockey team (11-4-2, 7-3-1 ECACH) to overcome a 2-0 lead that No. 11/11 Union (16-5-2, 10-1-1 ECACH) had established Saturday night at Messa Rink.

Men’s Hockey Picked Third in ECAC Preseason Polls; Kerfoot Tabbed to Preseason All-Conference Teams

ECAC Hockey announced its annual coaches’ and media preseason polls Monday at its Media Day in Albany and the Harvard men’s hockey team was slotted third by both groups. Senior forward Alexander Kerfoot was tabbed a preseason all-conference selection by both groups as well.
