Todd Cordell: Devils Acquire Alexei Ponikarovsky From the Jets: My Take
Wednesday night New Jersey Devils President and General Manager, Lou Lamoriello, announced that the team had acquired veteran forward and former Devil Alexei Ponikarovksy from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for a 4th round pick in 2014 and a 7th round pick in 2013.

Alexei Ponikarovsky 2011-12 Scoring Chances

I liked this move because while Ponikarovsky was coming off a bad season with the Los Angeles Kings (5 goals, 15 points in 61 games), he was previously an 18-21 goal scorer for a good part of his career and had top-six potential...
Devils get past Flyers in overtime
Alexei Ponikarovsky scored on his own rebound with 2:39 left in overtime, and the New Jersey Devils defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 Thursday night to take a 2-1 lead in this Eastern Conference semifinal series.
