More from Red Wings GM Ken Holland abot Nicklas Lidstrom…and Brad Stuart
ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun spoke to Red Wings GM Ken Holland about the same subject that the Free Press’s Helene St. James broached in asking about a timeline for Nicklas Lidstrom’s decision as to whether he’ll continue playing, and LeBrun also asked Holland about Brad Stuart’s future in his “rumblings” column:

Red Wings’ players, coach know that Brad Stuart’s skates are out the door
Amidst the biggest “storylines” from the Red Wings’ locker room clean-out day, in terms of cringe-worthiness, anyway, Danny Cleary’s knee issues (the Detroit News’s Ted Kulfan adds to the conversation in a blog entry this afternoon) earned some serious sympathy pains…

A bit more about Red Wings defenseman Brad Stuart’s family situation
Red Wings fans have more or less figured out that the reason Brad Stuart’s family hasn’t moved to Detroit with him involves his step-daughter’s custody issues. Goals are a bonus for Stuart
ANAHEIM, Calif. – There was a time in his career when Brad Stuart was asked to be more assertive in the offensive zone. But roles change and Stuart is quite comfortable in his capacity since joining the Red Wings at the 2008 trade deadline.
