Brett Lebda Signs PTO
I'm late on this but the Binghamton Senators have inked Brett Lebda to a professional tryout (PTO).
When reached for comment, Senators owner Eugene Melnyk said, “Our depth is no longer the envy of the league.”
Kidding aside, I wouldn’t read too much into Lebda’s signing or analyze what it could mean. At this stage of his career, it probably means nothing...

Vid Of The Day - One And Done
There is Brett Lebda's lone goal last season for the Leafs. He played in 41 games, had 1g, 3a and was a -14.
Another Lebda fun fact is that he managed to be a -3 in a 9-3 Leafs' win last year.
The signing is pretty much being universally panned by hockey fans around the league. Lots of stuff like:
"Well that makes sense, if you are going to Fail...

The Worst Play in Hockey
Now, I know what you're thinking, but the worst play in hockey isn't simply letting Brett Lebda on the ice.
Everyone always talks about a few killer plays in hockey: bad turnovers, stupid penalties, or a bad pinch. Yes, these all suck, but usually they involve a screw up or an unintentional mistake. No, the worst play in hockey is one that I see all the time as a goaltender...

from Garry Brown of MassLive, Brett Lebda, a 32-year-old defenseman who has quaffed champagne from the Stanley Cup, joined the Springfield Falcons this week as a step toward reviving his hockey career.
He was at home in Chicago, skating every day and waiting for a call after finding himself out of work at free-agency time in July.
The call came Monday from Chris MacFarland, assistant...
