CARTER HUTTON RUMORS

Busy Blues lose Backes, sign Perron, Hutton, extend Allen

Doug Armstrong was willing to do anything to keep David Backes, but he wouldn't do long term. The St. Louis Blues' general manager said goodbye to the team's captain for the past five seasons, who left to sign with the Boston Bruins, and made some complementary moves on the first day of NHL free agency. Armstrong wasn't willing to get close to the $30 million, five-year deal Backes...

WATCH: Marcus Foligno flips Carter Hutton

Carter Hutton was pretty lucky to avoid an injury after flipping over Marcus Foligno. The two players were racing to a loose puck, arriving at the same time with a huge collision. Foligno dove, crashing into Hutton’s pads and sending the goalie flying. Hutton landed on his head and fell into the boards but stayed in the game.

Looking Back and Moving Forward: #30 Carter Hutton

The future hockey broadcaster. Hutton shows incredible charisma and knowledge of the game every time he gives an in-game interview. However, the problem is he’s on the bench too many games to give his two cents on the night’s action.   Hutton has been the backup since arriving two seasons ago from the Blackhawk’s AHL squad. He was presumably a guy hand picked by the then goalie...

Carter Hutton’s No-Look Stick Save Might Be Best Stop Of NHL Season (Video)

You’ve gotta be good to be lucky and lucky to be good, and Carter Hutton was both Tuesday night. The Nashville Predators goalie turned in what might be the NHL’s save of the season so far in an eventual 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Making things even more impressive, Hutton’s jaw-dropping stop came in the third period with the game on the line. With the Preds clinging...

NHL Network analyst Craig Button ridicules Carter Hutton, makes a fool of himself

NHL Network can be a pretty difficult channel to watch depending on the analysts in the room. Craig Button further proved that point after a ridiculous tirade against Nashville goaltender Carter Hutton. Suiting up in place of Pekka Rinne, Hutton was beaten twice over his shoulder by a couple of vintage Ovechkin blasts. Button blasted Hutton over his inability to stop Ovechkin...

Predators goalie Carter Hutton robs Michael Raffi of 'open net' score (VIDEO)

Nashville Predators goalie Carter Hutton recovers from a bad bounce by making a ridiculous, baseball-like sliding grab to rob Michael Raffi of what looked like a sure goal for the Flyers Thursday night. The remarkable second-period save happened after Hutton went behind the net to get the cleared puck rolling around, but it unpredictably bounced in front of a completely empty net...

WATCH: Predators' Carter Hutton robs Michael Raffl on open net

The puck popped out in front to Flyers forward Michael Raffl who could not have had a more wide-open net.  That is, unless Predators goalie Carter Hutton went go-go gadget glove and pilfered a goal from Raffl. It doesn’t even seem physically possible for Hutton to get to the puck.  Treat it like a flip book, only on a screen. YouTube

Carter Hutton has struggled in net this season for the Nashville Predators, but he made one of the most impressive saves of his career in Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
