Montreal Canadiens' Deadline Roundup
Deadline day is upon us and many questions still linger this morning.
Will Pierre Gauthier trade impending free agents like Chris Campoli, Travis Moen and Mahtieu Darche? Will Andrei Kostitsyn be shipped out? Will Montreal pull off a more surprising move, like trading out Tomas Plekanec or P.K Subban?
By the end of the afternoon today, we should have answers to those...

Rumor: New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens Talking Trade?
A French radio station in Montreal mentioned that perhaps the New Jersey Devils may indeed be looking to land Montreal Canadiens defenseman Chris Campoli.
Once the story hit the air it didn’t take long for it to spread on Twitter.

Report from Team 990: Chris Campoli dealt to Tampa Bay for a 4th round pick
As heard on the Team 990 on the Canadiens post-game show. Not sure what their source for the rumour is, but they are currently looking into it.
I stress that this is only a rumour at this point, but Campoli has complained recently about his ice time, and as noted many times on Kukla’s Korner the Habs have far too many defencemen on the roster. More to come…

Ty Anderson: An Epic Sequel? Hatred bonds B's and Canucks
Itâs hard to imagine how meaningless yesterdayâs game could have been.
If not for a Chris Campoli turnover in overtime of Game 7, or a defensive zone face-off loss by Tomas Plekanec last April, thereâs a good -- strike that, great -- chance that yesterdayâs meeting between the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks is just another ho-hum January matinee. But...

Canadiens D Campoli to return to lineup Tuesday
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Chris Campoli will return to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the New York Islanders.
Campoli has been sidelined since suffering a torn hamstring in the season opener against Toronto.
The 27-year-old Campoli spent last season with Ottawa and Chicago, notching four goals and 17 assists in 77 games.

A coach, redundency and a problem on the horizon.
I’ve mentioned it a few times over the past few weeks, that the Habs defense corps has a problem that has to some extent, been camouflaged by injury early on in the season. The fact that Andrei Markov has yet to play a game in this season, and the fact that Chris Campoli was injured in the very first game of the year has forced Jacques Martin to scramble on defense. He has...
