Quite The Quandary, Eh?
The Emperor pointed us to a ditty this morning that shows Tick Tock is on the hunt for a "veteran defenseman". Actually, he's probably already bagged him but is waiting the normal Holland amount of time to announce the deal.
Who is it? No clue. Chris Campoli's being tossed around.
And that's just not good. Continue reading "Quite The Quandary, Eh?"
Campoli Still Out Of Work
from Michael Grange of Sportsnet,
Hockey is back and fears about its bubble bursting can seemingly be put aside for now.
Interesting that one of the architects of its return -- hammered out in a 16-hour, overnight bargaining session just a week ago -- spent the first day of hockey season at home, on the couch, watching the NFL playoffs and waiting for the phone to ring asking...
CBA Negotiations Continue; A Modest Proposal

By: Tyler J. Altemose (@TJamesAltemose)
Chris Campoli, representing the NHLPA, met with the media Thursday as CBA negotiations continued. He explained that the sides discussed “hockey issues” within separate sub-committees, all of which he considered “equally important” to the process.
Although Campoli and the NHLPA expects to continue working...
Montreal Canadiens' Deadline Roundup
Deadline day is upon us and many questions still linger this morning.
Will Pierre Gauthier trade impending free agents like Chris Campoli, Travis Moen and Mahtieu Darche? Will Andrei Kostitsyn be shipped out? Will Montreal pull off a more surprising move, like trading out Tomas Plekanec or P.K Subban?
By the end of the afternoon today, we should have answers to those...

Report from Team 990: Chris Campoli dealt to Tampa Bay for a 4th round pick
As heard on the Team 990 on the Canadiens post-game show. Not sure what their source for the rumour is, but they are currently looking into it.
I stress that this is only a rumour at this point, but Campoli has complained recently about his ice time, and as noted many times on Kukla’s Korner the Habs have far too many defencemen on the roster. More to come…
UPDATE: Nick Kypreos...
Ty Anderson: An Epic Sequel? Hatred bonds B's and Canucks
Itâs hard to imagine how meaningless yesterdayâs game could have been.
If not for a Chris Campoli turnover in overtime of Game 7, or a defensive zone face-off loss by Tomas Plekanec last April, thereâs a good -- strike that, great -- chance that yesterdayâs meeting between the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks is just another ho-hum January matinee. But...
Thursday's Top Goats: Bad Night & Bad Call
1st Goat: Chris Campoli - Montreal CanadiensThe Canadiens defensemen had a bad night on the ice, logging 20 minutes in ice time and having a -3 in the +/- category. The Habs lost the game to Winnipeg by the final score of 4-0. They continue to fall down in the standings as they currently sit at the bottom of their division and 12th in the Eastern Conference.
2nd Goat: Jeff Rimer...
Canadiens D Campoli to return to lineup Tuesday
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Chris Campoli will return to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the New York Islanders.
Campoli has been sidelined since suffering a torn hamstring in the season opener against Toronto.
The 27-year-old Campoli spent last season with Ottawa and Chicago, notching four goals and 17 assists in 77 games.
A coach, redundency and a problem on the horizon.
I’ve mentioned it a few times over the past few weeks, that the Habs defense corps has a problem that has to some extent, been camouflaged by injury early on in the season. The fact that Andrei Markov has yet to play a game in this season, and the fact that Chris Campoli was injured in the very first game of the year has forced Jacques Martin to scramble on defense. He has had...
