Anaheim Ducks right wing Devante Smith-Pelly suffered a broken bone in his left foot during the opening game of the world junior hockey championships on Monday night.

Earlier tonight Aaron Rome received a five-minute major and 10 minute misconduct when he elbowed Devante Smith-Pelly of the Anaheim Ducks.
