Blue Jackets D Tyutin breaks hand, season in jeopardy
Columbus Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards declared on Thursday that defenseman Fedor Tyutin suffered a broken hand and may be lost for the season.
Tyutin suffered the injury during Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Coyotes.
Signed to a six-year extension in the offseason, the 28-year-old Russian has collected five goals, 21 assists and 49 penalty minutes in 66 games this campaign.

Tyutin Contract Extension Keeps Rangers Away
Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports that former Ranger Fedor Tyutin's six-year contract extension that kicks in next season and runs through 2017-18 at $4.5 million per year will keep the Rangers away from pursuing the Blue Jacket defenseman....the one thing the Rangers could use on the backend is a little more snarl which Tyutin would surely bring. But at $4.5 million...
