Kris Versteeg Fined For Cross Check On Jeff Halpern
Late in regulation of Friday night’s Washington Capitals 2-1 victory over the Florida Panthers, tempers were flaring on both sides of the ice. In the final seconds, Capitals center Jeff Halpern took a faceoff and subsequently fell on the puck in an attempt to run out the clock.

Kris Versteeg has lost some of his money after being fined by the NHL.
