KYLE QUINCEY RUMORS & GOSSIP
Dear Ken Holland,
On behalf of my fellow Wings fans, we've had it. We are fed up, we are fed up with you, and we are angry. Why?
Because the concept of loyalty to players and alumni has, in our eyes, clouded the Red Wings management's judgment.
Spending the kind of money that a statistically superior, younger and right-shooting defenseman in Anton Stralman got from...
The first week of the NHL free agency period is nearly complete, here’s a glimpse at how the Detroit Red Wings fared.
Kyle Quincey (Defenseman): $8.5 million over two years
Riley Sheahan (Forward): $1.9 million over two years
Kevin Porter (Forward): One year on a two-way contract
David Legwand (Forward) to the Ottawa Senators, $6 million over two years...
On a day that they would just as soon forget, the Detroit Red Wings have agreed to a two-year, $8.5 million deal with defenseman Kyle Quincey, according to several reports.
At the conclusion of last season, the Wings had decided to let Quincey become an unrestricted free agent, but never completely ruled him out of the picture.
The Wings let Quincey know that the only way they would...
The Detroit Red Wings missed out on (at least) their first, second, third and fourth choices on defense during the first day of free agency. So GM Ken Holland wound up crawling back to Kyle Quincey, with a two-year deal worth a reported $8.5 million.
Quincey may have been the best option the Red Wings had left, short of a trade. But going with Plan B — or whatever contingency...
Detroit Red Wings’ defenseman Kyle Quincey has re-signed to a 2-year, $8.5 million contract. Quincey, 28, is entering his 11th season in the League and his 7th with the Red Wings. The Kitchener, Ontario native played in all 82 games last season earning 4 goals, 9 assists and a -5 rating.
I certainly haven't read any indications that the Red Wings Wings have seriously considered re-signing Kyle Quincey--there's a team loyalty factor, sure, but he's going to get paid elsewhere and the Wings want to upgrade their puck-moving--but this certainly received a raised eyebrow....and a bit of a smile.
Detroit would like to re-sign Kyle Quincey, but he...
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey was credited with an unassisted goal in the first period of Wednesday night's game on a fluke play after his shot bounced into the air and off the back of Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Bernier's head into the net.
Bernier stopped Quincey's slap shot with his glove, but the puck went into the air and took an unlucky bounce...
Before I head off to to Bryan Rufenach day at the Red wings’ summer development camp—which you’ll be able to follow via the Wings’ Twitter account, the Red Wings Camps account run by Sarah Lindenau and I’m sure several others…
The Free Press’s Helene St. James reports that the Red Wings are now officially on the clock in terms of coming to a contract agreement with...
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey has been suspended one game for his hit on Florida's Tomas Kopecky in the third period.
The NHL handed down the punishment on Monday.
Quincey was given a major penalty for elbowing and was ejected from Detroit's 2-1 shootout victory on Sunday. Kopecky was doubled over while leaving the ice following the hit, but he returned to the...
