Vancouver Canucks blogger Richard Hodgers reports Byron Bitz has been placed on waivers after “he cleared himself ready to play,” according to Alain Vigneault. “He’s been in Chicago for three weeks now practicing with the team. President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have re-assigned right wing Mark Mancari to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL as well.
