Del Zotto becomes third Ranger to have offseason surgery
According to his Twitter account, Michael Del Zotto became the third Ranger to have surgery this offseason. It does not sound like his injury was as serious as the torn labrums suffered by Ryan Callahan and Carl Hagelin though. Since the type of surgery is unknown, and the team has not formally announced anything, a timetable for a return has not been provided.

Del Zotto Had Surgery Today
Michael Del Zotto tweeted that he had a "long morning of surgery" today.
He adds that he will be back in top shape in no time.
While the Rangers had announced surgeries for Ryan Callahan and Carl Hagelin, there have been no mentions of Del Zotto going under the knife.
...oooooohhhhhhh, no wonder he played so poorly in the playoffs. His mental gaffes obviously...
Michael Del Zotto is safe in New York, for now
Del Zotto needs to improve, and he will be given the time to do so.
Michael Del Zotto is a whipping boy for many, and his underwhelming season hasn’t helped him convince certain groups of fans –and media– of his long-term future being in New York. That said, Del Zotto is here to stay for the foreseeable future. Depending on how the offseason plays out, the Rangers are not...
Could Del Zotto get suspended?
In the third period of last night’s shootout loss to the Penguins, Michael Del Zotto caught James Neal with an elbow to the jaw behind the Rangers net (video above). Del Zotto said on MSG after the game that he was trying to brace himself for a hit, but the contact was a bit awkward, as it looked like Del Zotto was already past Neal, and stuck his right arm out.
Del Zotto doesn’t...
Defending Michael Del Zotto…. Again
Ranger fans tend to be a very opinionated bunch and this Blue Shirts roster offers them plenty of targets to express their diverse set of opinions upon. But even on a roster that boasts expensive and underachieving forwards Brad Richards and Marian Gaborik, no player attracts a wider array of assessments than D Michael Del [...]
Brooks: Rangers not in on O’Reilly (Update: Asking price includes Del Zotto)
Update 2/18/13: Elliotte Friedman says that the Rangers spoke to the Avs over the weekend regarding O’Reilly, but balked at the asking price. The Avs were asking for Michael Del Zotto and either Chris Kreider or J.T. Miller. Clearly, the Avs are living in a fantasy world where they believe they have leverage with their star-in-the-making forward. Del Zotto is obviously a non-starter...

As I mentioned above Nash did not play in his...
Rangers Shouldn't Budge on Del Zotto
Since nothing is going much of anywhere in regard to the CBA talks right now, Ranger fans everywhere have found a new target of discussion to yammer about as of late: Michael Del Zotto.
The 22-year-old restricted free agent defenseman is still without a contract on September 11 -- ten days away from the scheduled start of training camp, which we know more than likely will...
Player Review: Michael Del Zotto
The player review you've all been waiting for. Michael Del Zotto was and still is one of the more debated names on the New York Rangers roster amongst fans. His offensive smarts that are sometimes hidden by his defensive blunders have the fan base split when it comes to the 22-year-old from Ontario, Canada. As a current restricted free agent, he's a name we will be hearing...
