Winnipeg Jets eliminated from playoff contention
With an overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Winnipeg Jets are officially eliminated from the playoffs. The final three games on the schedule will be their last of the 2011-12 campaign.
Saturday night’s tilt was another spirited effort from Winnipeg that required extra time, but this time Steven Stamkos was the hero, scoring his league-leading 56th goal of the season....

Jets beat Lightning, bolt to top of the Southeast
It looked like Ondrej Pavelec was going to be tested often right from the outset of Thursday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, as he sprawled to make a remarkable save on Martin St. Louis in the first minute. It brought flashbacks of Tuesday’s 5-4 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers to mind – a game where Pavelec stopped 50 shots but was beaten...

Peter Tessier: Jets Felled by Flyers
Do you want to tell me something- do it via Twitter HERE!
Ondrej Pavelec sat after the game, he had a look of bewilderment if not dejection and frustration. That was what I read about the Tuesday night game, one I uncharacteristically could not attend, perhaps fortunate to not see the emotional carnage that was left of the Winnipeg Jets.
Take a look at what he did to keep...

Jets surge late, win crucial game against Caps
After 40-some minutes of hockey, I was feeling like I had seen this Washington Capitals/Winnipeg Jets game before. This game appeared to be headed in the same direction as so many as of late this year – lackluster offense from the Jets, with Ondrej Pavelec’s goaltending keeping the game close before an inevitable loss. When the Capitals scored two quick goals, it seemed...

Pavelec Not Happy With Jets’ Offense
from Kirk Penton of the Winnipeg Sun, Ondrej Pavelec was frustrated with his forward teammates on Tuesday night, and his feelings hadn’t changed much on Wednesday afternoon.
The Jets starting netminder was not pleased with Winnipeg’s offensive attack during their 3-2 shootout loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night at MTS Centre. He voiced his displeasure after...

Peter Tessier: Flight Plan: Jets Game Day and Thoughts on Habs
Follow me on Twitter HERE! for updates and thoughts.
The story around Winnipeg and surrounding the Jets is the comments by Pavelec towards the forwards after the Islanders game. Yes the circus which is the Montreal Canadiens is in town for the second meeting between the two clubs but right now most people are talking about Pavelec.
The early leader for team MVP, Ondrej Pavelec...

Ondrej Pavelec in 'Wrong Place, Wrong Time' for Bruins as Point Streak Comes to End
You never want to see the Bruins lose, but it had to come sooner or later, right? The team's 15-game point streak game to a close on Tuesday night against the Winnipeg Jets and Ondrej Pavelec was a huge part of that. The Jets goalie made 39 saves and picked up an assist in the first period to lead his team to a 2-1 upset over the B's. NESN Nation's Dan Duquette was worried...

Puck Takes Magic Turn to Win Game for Ondrej Pavelec and Winnipeg
This is Winnipeg Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec trying to save a shot from Derek Morris of the Phoenix Coyotes. The puck finds it's way within a foot of the net seemingly going strait before it somehow makes a 90 degree turn to the right. Maybe some help from the man upstairs. The miss lead to Pavelec’s shutout win 1-0 over Phoenix. Sometimes things just go your way I guess...

After Philly embarrassment, Jets’ Ondrej Pavelec finds his game
UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Eight days ago, Ondrej Pavelec was recovering from the worst game of his career that ended with him being the victor in a wild 9-8 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Eight days later, Pavelec is waking up this morning having posted his seventh career shutout in a 3-0 blanking of the New York Islanders on Thursday night. After that night at Wells Fargo Center where...
