Former Flyers defenseman Oskars Bartulis, whose contract was bought out in June, has agreed to a one-year contract with new KHL club HC Donbass Donetsk (Ukraine), according to a Latvian media report.

Flyers Place Betts, Walker and Bartulis on Waivers
Kevin Allen of USAToday was the first to report that Blair Betts, the premier face-off man and penalty killer for the Flyers, had been placed on waivers. Renauld P. Lavoie of RDS Hockey has subsequently reported that defensemen Matt Walker and Oskars Bartulis have been placed on waivers.
