Lightning pick up Tim Wallace off waivers
Instead of trading away guys pre-puck drop, the Lightning have picked up forward Tim Wallace off of waivers. Maybe we just like former Pittsburgh Penguins, or we're hoping for a 2nd Alaskan assassin..but this should mean that one of the Norfolk guys will be sent down back to the AHL.Press release from the team:

Wallace on Waivers and Wishart Returned to AHL; Call Up Coming?
The Islanders sent Ty Wishart back down to AHL Bridgeport and put forward Tim Wallace on waivers this afternoon.
The move most likely indicates that Travis Hamonic is ready to return to action in the coming day or so. Newsday reported that he could return to the Islanders roster Friday night against the New York Rangers.

Dee Karl: Wallace Hits the Waiver Wire
While today is an "off day" for the NY Islanders, that doesn't mean nothing is hitting the air. So far I've heard from Art Staple that Travis Hamonic was skating today at the Coliseum. A good sign that the poor kid and his smashed nose are beginning to feel a little better.

Ullstrom and Four other Islanders Score in 5-1 victory
It was a memorable night for Tim Wallace and David Ullstrom as they both contributed in the Islanders 5-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Wallace was credited with his first point as an Islander and Ullstrom scored his first career NHL goal at the 3:39 mark of the third period.

Isles call up Kevin Poulin and Tim Wallace
The Islanders announced the emergency recall of Kevin Poulin and Tim Wallace. The two have been called up from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in response to injures to Andrew MacDonald and Jay pandolfo. Both have been placed on injured reserve retroactively from Nov. 29 and Nov. 26 respectively.
Poulin has appeared in 13 games for the Sound Tigers with a 3.37 goals against average...
