TRAVIS MOEN RUMORS & GOSSIP

Hockey Fight: Travis Moen (Montreal Canadiens) vs. BJ Crombeen (Tampa Bay Lightning)

Check out this hockey fight last night between Travis Moen of the Montreal Canadiens and BJ Crombeen of the Tampa Bay Lightning.  Moen doesn't have much of a fighting history on the ice which resulted in him throwing body shots at Crombeen.  I doubt the punches did too much damage considering they wear protection on the body.  Maybe Moen needs to get in the gym and hit a punching...

NHL Fights: Canadiens’ Travis Moen Tries To Body Punch Lightning’s BJ Crombeen

Canadiens’ left winger Travis Moen isn’t much of a fighter. He’s only had 100+ PIM once during his NHL career and only 14 PIM this season. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he was trying to use body shots last night during a brawl with Tampa Bay’s  BJ Crombeen. Crombeen, on the other hand, has a solid HockeyFights.com database. For those of you who are 16 and have...

Moen for four, teeing up Sunday

Travis Moen’s four year deal with the Habs (4 year, $7.2 million) goes a long way shoring up leadership for the Canadiens, as well as their fourth line and penalty kill. While Moen may not be a sexy player, he’s an effective one, and a winner at that. Having him signed will allow the Habs to focus on finding more scoring and depth down the middle. As for the Impending frenzy...

Matthew Barry: Next Up For Kings: "A Sparkplug"

Lombardi wanted to sign Travis Moen 3 years ago. But he wasn't about to give him a three year deal and he wasn't about pay him 4.5 million either. "That guy is a warrior" he told me in an interview 3 years ago. He was a "right fit". Currently he's on IR since Feb 11, but he certainly fits the Kings mold of "sparkplug." Andrei Kostitsyn...

Travis Moan to Detroit? No Thanks.

Updated 4:30 PM. We took a little break over the weekend, but one thing that didn’t was trade rumors.  So what are the Wings looking for? “To me, if we could get another heavy winger, or heavy forward, or D — those would all be good things to help you,” Babcock said, as reported by the Detroit News. “I put together a wish list every year, this time of year, and then...
