Leino: Season Was A Battle
From the Buffalo News,
Ville Leino was nearly invisible with a hockey stick in his hand. Off the ice, however, he was the Sabres’ straightest shooter.
Leino candidly and honestly delivered opinions on any subject that came up this season. The switch from left wing to center? Hated it. The crowd in Buffalo? Too quiet. The atmosphere in the dressing room? Not fun enough. Games...

Thisis a great sign.

Leino Out For Several Weeks
from Mike Harrington of Sabres Edge, Ville Leino is out several weeks with a lower body injury suffered last night against Ottawa. Leino played 14:49 in the game but took only one shift in the final 9:25 of play, a 56-second run that ended with 1:01 left.
So it’s pretty clear he had some sort of knee or foot problem he was dealing with. (Just guessing here but players often...

Kevin Freiheit: Waiting on Leino
Ville Leino has been criticized since the start of the season, and for good reason.
He has six points in 24 games this season. A pair of goals and four assists in not what many were hoping for when Buffalo signed him in the offseason.
How much longer can he play like this before we can start to worry?
We're about a quarter of the way through the season and Leino is on...
