Manchester City won the first Manchester Derby of the season after beating rivals Manchester United 4-1 at the Etihad.
Sergio Aguero opened the scoring the blues, after the Argentine picked a cross from Kolarov and slotted home with great aplomb. Towards the end of the first half, City doubled their lead through Yaya Toure, who tapped in from close range.
United, bereft of confidence and imagination, suffered a huge blow early in the second half when Aguero scored again that virtually killed off the competition once and for all.
Samir Nasri, the best performer of the match completed the rout after the Frenchman coolly slotted home meeting Jesus Navas’ cross to perfection.
Wayne Rooney scored a wonderful free-kick but it was all but a consolation goal for the visitors. Check the Aguero’s celebration below…
