US Women’s soccer phenom Alex Morgan, among other stars from the world of sport, was picked by ESPN The Magazine to take part in another one of the periodical’s theme issues. On this occasion, the theme is music, hence the title, “The Music Issue.” Some of you may be aware of the fact that not only is Miss Morgan a gifted soccer player, she’s also not hurting in the looks department, either. For her part in the themed issue, Alex Morgan was all gussied up as alluring sexpot Katy Perry to mimic the album cover of Perry’s smash debut album, One of the Boys. A photo and video of the shoot follows. Other athletes of note who took part in “The Music Issue” and the album covers they helped re-create: US Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte posing as the underwater infant for Nirvana’s Nevermind Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman posing as The King of Pop for Michael Jackson’s Thriller Various MLB players posing as DEVO for the classic, Freedom of Choice US Track & Field star Allyson Felix as Beyonce for Dangerously in Love But the big score by ESPN The Mag was most certainly having Alex Morgan to vamp it up as Katy Perry: A video from the shoot: Very nice, and not too salacious in the least. I mean we are talking about Katy Perry here. Although I doubt anyone would have complained if Morgan would have been convinced to don this patriotically sexy outfit Perry wore during the World Cup a few years back.
