Bayern Munich legend Philipp Lahm has urged Harry Kane to sign for the Bundesliga giants.

The England captain has only 15 months left on his current contact and Tottenham are expecting enquiries to be made for Kane in the summer.

In turn, Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Kane. It looks like the most likely destination should he leave Spurs and stay in the Premier League.

There will be opportunities for Kane to move abroad, too. Bayern Munich have yet to replace Robert Lewandowski with an elite-level centre-forward and we all know that the 29-year-old fits the bill.

Speaking about Kane in a recent interview with Sky Sports, Lahm said there is only one striker he wants at Bayern.

The former Germany international said: “Harry Kane is a game-changing centre-forward, a clear No.9 but also with technical skills. He’s a very good striker and I think he would really be an outstanding fit for Bayern Munich.

“In this position, Bayern has always had very good international strikers, like Robert Lewandowski, so we will see. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens.”
