In an article by Yahoo! Sports, David Beckham has a preferred person to call when in need of a restaurant.  The LA Galaxy star is fresh off of a MLS Cup title and is one of the first names that comes to mind when soccer is brought up.  In a way, he is one of those athletes that is also a celebrity of sorts.  One would think that Beckham has his own personal assistant or even concierge team when eating out and restaurants are involved.  On the other hand, David Beckham is such a Michael Jordan fan.  Being a Jordan fan is why Beckham’s jersey number is 23. Another Beckham to Jordan connection is when finding a good restaurant to eat at becomes an issue.  Beckham said, I actually spoke to him the other day.  I was at their party and he said, “You know, let’s just exchange numbers and we’ll speak to each other.”  And then I called him up, I think I was in Washington, and I said, “I know you’ve spent a bit of time here, I need a restaurant.  Can you tell me a nice Italian restaurant?”  And he told me a great Italian restaurant.  And we talk to each other from time to time and for me to even talk to him is a real honor. Does David Beckham not have a smartphone that is capable of downloading an application called “Yelp”?
