Captain Steven Gerrard praises Brendan Rodgers for having the "bottle" to take over as manager of Liverpool. Rodgers took over at Anfield eight months ago, following two years of success as Swansea boss, that saw him lead the Welsh club into the Premier League and receive plaudits for their possession-based style of play. It was this that prompted Reds owners John Henry and Tom Werner to make their move for the 39-year-old Northern Irishman and Gerrard believes they will ultimately be rewarded with success.
