Robbie Keane scored two to lead the LA Galaxy past the Chicago Fire on Sunday afternoon. LA is now back in playoff contention in the Western conference, and picked up their third clean sheet of the season.
A handball in the box in the first half led to Keane's first goal, as he beat Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson on the penalty kick to give LA an early lead.
In the second half, substitute Landon Donovan assisted Keane's second goal in the 78th minute, securing the win for LA.
The three points catapult LA up the standings, while the Fire failed to gain any ground in the Eastern Conference table.
