Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has been voted in second place for the 2012-13 PFA Player of the Year award, behind winner Gareth Bale and ahead of third-place Robin van Persie. The results were revealed at the annual PFA awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Sunday, where Bale was crowned the country’s best for the current season. The Tottenham Hotspur man scooped the award for the second time in his career and actually achieved double glory after also finishing first in the race for PFA Young Player of the Year. Enjoying his most productive campaign to date, 23-year-old Bale has notched 19 league goals for Spurs — behind only Suarez and van Persie in the Barclays Premier League.
