Man City are reportedly interested in young Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas. The latter arrived in the Italian capital last summer, starting as a third-choice custodian. However, the Greek has swiftly climbed the ranks, proving to be a reliable presence between the posts while Ivan Provedel was injured.

While the more experienced Italian remains Lazio’s supposed Number One, Igor Tudor has yet to drop Mandas despite Provedel’s recent return to injury. The Greek’s impressive displays over the last two months have raised some eyebrows, reportedly earning him some prestigious admirers on the English shores.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Manchester City are on the lookout for a talented shot-stopper for their U-23 side where they develop young players and prepare them for the first team. The Cityzens have identified the Lazio man as one of the profiles for the job.

Mandas’ agent Diego Tavano has recently stated that his client has several suitors abroad. Nevertheless, he insisted that the 22-year-old is happy at Lazio and is expecting to hold talks with the management to define his future. The Greek has made eight appearances in Serie A thus far, conceding six goals and registering four clean sheets in the process. His current contract with the Biancocelesti is valid until 2028.
