Manchester United Women complete signing of USWNT World Cup winners Tobin Heath, Christen Press

More players from the United States Women's National Team are moving on from the NWSL and heading to England.

Manchester United Women have confirmed the signing of Tobin Heath and Christen Press. Both players have played an integral role in the success of the USWNT over the past few years.

Heath has been a key player to the USA teams that won two World Cups and two Olympic titles. The 32-year-old also has won two NWSL titles with the Portland Thorns. Meanwhile, Press played alongside Heath in the USWNT's 2015 and 2019 World Cup campaigns. The 31-year-old has 58 goals in 138 appearances for the U.S.

This isn't the first time Heath will be playing for a European club. She played for the Paris Saint-Germain women in both 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.

Heath and Press won't be able to make their Women's Super League debuts this weekend against Birmingham City due to quarantine restrictions in place for those traveling from the United States to England.

The duo joins the WSL with some of the most talented players in the world already playing in the league including USWNT teammates Samantha Mewis and Rose Lavelle, Ellen White, Chloe Logarzo and Sam Kerr, among others.
