McCarthy yet to hear from Man Utd about next season

Manchester United first team coach Benni McCarthy is moving closer to leaving the club.

The South African is one of the assistants of Dutch head coach Erik ten Hag at United.

However, McCarthy has ambitions to become a manager in his own right.

Per ESPN, he has not been approached by United over a new contract, which may make up his mind for him.

INEOS are overhauling various areas of United's sporting setup, with Ten Hag and his coaching staff possibly on the chopping block.

While the Dutchman may yet keep his job, a refresh of his coaches may be on the cards.
