KOMO-TV in Seattle has obtained tapes of the 911 calls about the pre-wedding fight involving soccer star Hope Solo and her fiancée — now husband — former Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens.

Stevens was arrested last November for fourth degree domestic violence assault after an argument with Solo, who is a two-time Olympic gold medalist.

The argument happened in Solo’s home in Kirkland, Wash., early in the morning on their wedding day on Nov. 12, 2012.

Hope Solo’s brother, Marcus, called 911 four times just after 3:00 a.m. He said about eight people were inside the home, including Hope Solo and Stevens.

“There was a little fight inside the house and she got thrown to the ground and she might have dislocated her hip,”Marcus Solo told the dispatcher. He was referring to another woman who had been injured.

Marcus Solo said the group had been drinking alcohol when things turned physical. He also said a stun gun had been used. But he wouldn’t give dispatchers any information about who was involved.

When police officers arrived, Hope Solo had a bloody elbow, and Marcus Solo had head, eye and knee injuries. Another woman was on the floor with a hip injury. Blood was seen throughout the house.

Jerramy Stevens was found upstairs. Police said he “appeared to be hiding.” Stevens claimed he was sleeping and never heard anything.

Officers arrested Stevens, but a judge set him free the next day for lack of evidence.

Hope Solo and Stevens were married a few hours later.

The soccer star has maintained that Stevens never hit her.

“I’m happy,” Solo said. “I’m happily married. I would never stand for domestic violence. I’ve never been hit in my life. My life is great.”

The Kirkland Police Department closed the case and referred it to prosecutors.

  • She is another idiot who we will be reading about how she put up with domestic abuse in her marriage, and wants us to pity her and feel bad. I am of the opinion if you ignore all the signs and warnings, you get what you deserve.
  • 10-4
  • They deserve what they get, now and tomorrow!
  • Keep putting your head in the sand,Hope, and pretend nothing happened....make excuses, it was because he was drinking, it wasn't his fault (I'm the one that made him mad), and it was the stress from all the wedding plans... The real truth will eventually come out...it always does.

  • “I’m happy,” Solo said. “I’m happily married.

She sounds really happy. A dislocated hip.
    Wow. What a marriage.

  • jlc610 - why such harsh words for someone that you thought mis-read the piece when, in fact, YOU mis=read it. It was another woman who had the "hip injury" but a little above that it said Hope's brother said she (Hope) was thrown to the ground and may have dislocated her hip. Another point, you're asking the other poster why he/she cares about these two...and then tell them to "live your our (sic) life." I'm just curious -- if you really feel this way, why did you not only bother to read the article, albeit incorrectly, but read the comments and then spend even more time out of your life to post yours?
  • Exactly what the article says: “There was a little fight inside the house and she got thrown to the ground and she might have dislocated her hip,”Marcus Solo told the dispatcher. He was referring to another woman who had been injured."

So jlc610 was right, and you, Toula910, are wrong about his being wrong.

And, in the infamous words of Vizzini, "And now we find who is right, and who is dead."

  • Mudshark, please is that the best you could come up with.
  • How about: "Daddy must be proud."
  • FUNNY
  • Reading these comments, sounds like you all agree Hope was assaulted by her husband. So why aren't any of you talking trash about him? It's this kind of mentality that is partially responsible for the continuation of domestic violence in our society. You all should be ashamed. Unless you have walked in her shoes, you have no business making these absurd comments. Educate yourselves!
  • Because she chose him, and chooses to stay.
  • He stinks. There are you happy? If she married him anyway then she stinks too!
  • Start with this....
    http://www.ted.com/talks/leslie_morgan_steiner_why_domestic_violence_victims_don_t_leave.html
  • They are both FUGLY.
  • Let the criminal justice rule on this. Public opinion is hearsay.
  • I ran into a door... I fell...
  • She has serious issues......nuf said!
  • If he hit her and she still married him, then that is on her. If that is indeed the case then she is an idiot.
  • What does race have to do with domestic violence?
  • Always the black man that's the aggressor, right? Funny, the judge let him go for lack of evidence..hmmm. I wonder if the responding officers were white... No, domestic violence has nothing to do with race, however, whenever this racist county still has its race issues and the truth is if he were white, he would NEVER have gone to jail that night. In fact, EVERYONE was wasted it appears, so why not go look for the black dude, we know he HAS to be guilty of SOMETHING... If he's assaulting her, then justice needs to be served, I have no respect for any man/or woman of any race to assault any one period... I never comment on these blogs, Im way to busy with my own life, was surfing the net and noticed these comments and coulnd resist.. This is sooo one sided man...
  • How is going outside your race make a person deserving of domestic violence?
  • nikki u sound like ur a woman whod b scared to leave her husband too..no soul in some women and men as well....shame on her for not leaving and yes she does deserve to have trash talked about her and shame on her family for bein wusses and not taking it into their own hands and makin sure this guy doesnt wanna b around anymore or at least never thinks about layin another hand again..truth is many women jus think differently than men and and some weird way theres a small portion of women who think they deserve to be hit..it jus makes me mad, i got ina fight for somethin jus like this a couple months ago when this guy smaxked this girl in front of me, hes missing a coulple pieces of teeth now
  • More proof denial is not a river in Egypt.
  • Why is this incident still being flashed about in the media??? Regardless of all else, Hope Solo is an adult and entitled to make her own choices...the rest of the world should butt out...I am fairly certain she has plenty of friends and family who will support her in dealing with whatever transpires in her marriage.
  • obviously not ozymandias....clown

  • Wow, amazing how many people out there with ESP - the fact is, no one knows what happened except for the people in that home. For all anyone knows. she got liquored up and attacked him. It's really no one else's business.

  • Good point fly she is a pretty big chick. Maybe she started it so people shouldn't jump to conclusions. When there is liquid confidence involved it could be anyone who started the fight. I've seen people that would never start any trouble get pretty snaky once they get lubed up.
  • She's trash. I hope everytime she makes rude remarks about other athletes, the media brings up her "wedding day."
  • Whats wrong with that picture.
  • Bitches can beat up men just as well. Listen very carefully to the recording. When asked who started the fight, the brother answered, "Lets not go there". If it was her husband, he would have thrown him under the bus like any good bro would do for his sis. Sounds to me he didnt want to throw her under the bus even if it was her fault. Also, the husband "appeared to be hiding", like a victim would. It was her if you ask me. Domestic violence isnt as one sided as people would like to think. And men are less inclined to report such an incident due to the "macho factor". They dont want to admit that a bitch messed them up. Ive known "dude victims" of domestic violence. It doesnt make them *******, it just means that they wont hit a woman even though shes doing the hitting. Theyre ******* if they dont report it! Women can really get their crazy on and can do just as much harm as a guy can, sometimes even more so. Ive known scarey women like that. And if anybody had watched DWTS when Solo appeared on the show she acted like a temporamental baby who was used to getting her way. A sore loser. Maybe the same thing was going on there. Bridezilla didnt get her way on something and decided to hit while intoxicated. Id be afraid to be married to her. Also, the brother sounded drunker than ****! Hope Solo did it!!! Read between the lines. Just sayin'.
  • folks read what the story says and ask yourself a question, when someone is just woke up you can tell if they were sleeping, what did the cop say, he was hiding, WHY, there is you answer folks why hid in your own home.........

Wes Welker: 'I feel like the weak link' in Broncos' loaded offense

Wes Welker has played in his fair share of powerful offenses during his career, and he’s been a major contributor in all of them. Yet the 33-year-old wide receiver hasn’t exactly been a pass-catching machine in 2014. Which is fine, because on the Denver Broncos’ offense, he doesn’t need to be. The Broncos are among the NFL’s leaders in passing with 2,079 yards and 22...

Chip Kelly on not weighing in on injuries: ‘I’m not Dr. Miyagi’

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has a new-school approach to coaching and an innovative offensive philosophy. But when it comes to talking to the media, he seems to favor the traditional "less is more" approach. This was exemplified when he was recently asked about why he's so meticulous about his players' habits, but hands-off when it comes to injuries...
