Ghanaian youngster Shadrach Eghan
Ghanaian youngster Shadrach Eghan believes his limited height will be his great asset in his football career just like superstars Xavi and Lionel Messi.
The 19-year-old has been a revelation in the Dutch top flight since signing a professional contract with FC Twente last year.
Eghan’s impressive displays in the Eredivisie has caught the attention of many.
The offensive midfielder is very quick on the ball and a bundle of skills.
The ex Golden Boot Academy youth player says he owes his unique attributes to his shortness and hopes to make more of it like Barcelona greats Xavi and Messi.
“As you can see I am not so tall and that makes me very fast and I like to socre all the time,” Eghan said in an interview.
“I am 1.65m [tall] but if you see players like Xavi and Messi they are not also tall but they are brilliants.
“So I think it is not about how tall you are but what you can do on the field.”
