Former QPR manager Neil Warnock has defended his record at the London club and says he thinks they were wrong to fire him last season. Warnock led QPR to the Championship title in the 2010/11 campaign and they made a reasonable start to life in the Premier League under him. However, he was then sacked in January 2012 after a poor run of results and performances, with Mark Hughes hired to take over. The R's retained their Premier League status by just a point that season but Hughes was dismissed when they made a terrible start to the current campaign, and his replacement Harry Redknapp has not been able to prevent relegation.
