Ray McDonald Arrested for Outstanding Warrant
Seems this offseason message should have been, ‘Don’t get arrested.’ For the second time this year a 49er has been sent to jail. This time Ray McDonald was arrested for an outstanding warrant stemming from a 2010 arrest for driving under the influence.
Since this is McDonald’s second arrest, he faces punishment from the NFL as a repeat offender of league policies…

20-1 Odds. You Gotta Love That Bet
Sportsbook.com has the 49ers at 20-1 odds to win the Super Bowl in 2013. If you are a betting man or woman you have to love those odds.
The 49ers were one game away from SB XLVI and going into next season with basically the same roster, upgrades in a few positions and a full offseason to learn Harbaugh’s system. Those 20-1 odds look really good.
Yes the 49ers should have a...

Harbaugh Wins Coach of the Year in a Landslide
First year head coach Jim Harbaugh won Coach of the Year honors in a landslide. The Associated Press named Harbaugh their Coach of the Year. He received 45 votes, Packers coach Mike McCarthy got three, and John Fox got two votes.
Jim Harbaugh is the first 49ers head coach to win AP Coach of the Year since Bill Walsh won in back in 1981. Both Walsh and Harbaugh won it after they lead...

They Will Build It, We Will Come
NFL owners approved a $200 million loan on Thursday to help the San Francisco 49ers build a new stadium in Santa Clara.
In December, the Santa Clara Stadium Authority unanimously approved an $850 million construction loan for the stadium, which will cost approximately $1.02 billion. The rest of the cost will be covered by a hotel tax and Santa Clara’s redevelopment funds.

Hot Hands: Free Agent Wide Receivers (Part 1)
After a successful regular season was ended against the New York Giants in the NFC conference championship fans of the 49ers are left wondering what the team needs to put it over the hump. In years past that answer has been almost solely been a quarterback. But with 2011 being Alex Smith’s career year in terms of avoiding turnovers and executing the game plan there has been a large...

Perspective
I read the following article from a friend of mine and I thought I’d share it with others. It is a nice read on how most of us felt after the gut wrenching loss against the Giants. If you wish to read more from Brandon check out his site.
Sports are littered with cliches. The one burning a hole in my brain right now is “the joy of victory/the agony of defeat.”
I hate cliches...

Carlos Rogers Wants to Stay
One day after the 49ers cinderella season ended, Carlos Rogers was asked about the possiblity of re-signing with the 49ers and not hitting the free agent market. Here is what Rogers said when asked:
“My preference is to be back. Like I said, for four or five (years) I want to be back. Like I said, I’m going to leave that to my agent’s hands. He just got through talking...

Hats off to the 49ers…
This loss still hurts. I’ve had a little time to put aside the ill will I have towards Kyle Williams. So I just wanted to write a quick post about how great this season was.
14-4, hosted the NFC Championship game. Made it one score away from the Super Bowl and all of this done with a rookie head coach with no offseason, a quarterback almost everyone labeled a bust, and other...

I Blame You Kyle Williams
The 49ers fell one game short of playing the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Wait let me rephrase that, Kyle Williams muffed two punts to keep the 49ers from going to play the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
Kyle Williams this seasons Roger Craig.
I know some out there will say playcalling, some poor offensive play, referees, 3rd down conversions, etc. Yes I can agree with that. Alex Smith...

How to Beat The Giants
After a spectacular win last Saturday over the favored New Orleans Saints, the San Francisco 49ers are just one game away from reaching the Super Bowl. In their way stand the New York Giants, fresh off an improbable win of their own. The Giants are probably the hottest team in the playoffs right now, emulating what the Green Bay Packers had to do last year to win. However, the...

One of Those Moments…
There are moments in a sports fans life, more importantly, a football fans life which define them and the team they follow. For fans of the San Francisco 49ers those instances have come in abundance over the last 30-years. For those not in the know, it was three decades ago last week that Joe Montana hit Dwight Clark for the go ahead touchdown pass against the Dallas Cowboys and...

Who’s Got It Better
The 49ers showed they belong in the conversation with the best teams in the league with a thrilling 36-32 victory yesterday. Some might even call the game a shootout, which barely anyone would expect the 49ers to be able to even manage, let alone pull out a victory against New Orleans. The Saints have one of the highest powered, explosive offenses the NFL has ever seen. Quarterback...

Who Dat? The 49ers Dat Who…
The 49ers pulled off one of the great postseason come from behind victories in 49ers history. This ranks up there with the Catch, The Catch II, and now the Catch III.
I’m not going to spend that much time writing about this, because it is time to celebrate. The 49ers are heading to the NFC Championship game where they will travel to Green Bay or host the Giants.
You gotta...

Welcome Back Playoffs
Saturday at 4:30 EST marks the 49ers first playoff game in 10 years and I’ve been paying my dues at sports bars across the United States waiting for it. I watched them bottom out at 2-14, draft a QB #1 overall who wasn’t named Aaron Rodgers, wade through offensive coordinators like selections at the Golden Corral buffet, grimace as that #1 QB struggled to get on the right side...

Beat the Saints
Can you feel it? We’ve waited so long for this, and endured losing season after losing season. Our San Francisco 49ers are set to play their first playoff game since 2002, and there is magic in the air. Hopefully they’re as ready as we are because they are going to have their hands full with the New Orleans Saints coming to town.
All week we’ve had the same questions...
